The ARB engineers were tasked with quite a chalenge designing the new Tailgate Assist. Tight tollerances between the tailgate edge and tub body meant that precision bracketry was required to allow smooth, uninterfered operation of all moving parts. Maintaining optimum strut alignment is paramount for product longevity and is achieved by using unique ball socket mounts. This style of strut mount allows for vehicle manufacturing tollerances that could otherwise drastically shorten the service life of the struts through misalignment.

The Mitsubishi Triton MQ has two different types of tailgate travel limiters fitted from factory which vary depending on the vehicle model. Some models incorporate a metal scissor strap whereas other models use cables. This Tailgate Assist kit has been developed to suit Vehicles fitted with cables. 
                     
 The fitting instructions include important product safety warnings as does the included warning label that must be fitted to the tub body as per the instructions.
