Key considerations for ARB’s engineers when developing an ARB Sportlid V specific mount kit were ease of
fitment / removal, to enable one fit kit to suit all Sportlid V models, to fit in conjunction with optional OE
Sports Bars and to keep the BASE Rack as close as practical to the Sportlid V.
Fitment of the BASE Rack system to the ARB Sportlid V is done in a series of steps.
1. M8 square head bolts inserted into Sportlid V rail.
2. BASE Rack blade brackets are loosely attached to underside of BASE Rack assembly with BASE Rack
stud plates, M8 studs, washers and nyloc nuts.
3. Width of BASE Rack blade brackets adjusted to suit the applicable Sportlid V. Fitting instructions
provided include the different widths depending on vehicle application.
4. BASE Rack with blade brackets fitted to Sportlid V and fastened to previously installed mount
square head bolts with M8 washers and nyloc nuts.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE LISTED USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
? Maximum load per BASE Rack beam is 25kg
? Load must be evenly distributed and adequately secured

• Any weight carried on the Sportlid V will adversely affect its handling, particularly in    cornering or in a cross wind, the vehicle should therefore be driven with increased discretion

? Regularly check the tightness of the securing fasteners and the security of the load
? Attention is directed to statutory requirements regarding maximum permissible
  projections from vehicles
